TO SUMMON AN OLD FRIEND

If you want to see someone that you haven't seen for a while, follow these directions:

First, brew a strong cup of tea with no sugar or cream.

Pour it into your best teacup (the kind you use for company).  Make sure that you clear off a table preparing for guests!

As you sip the tea, get a clear image of your friend's face.  Try to imagine them smiling and happy.  Then, as you sip the tea, say the following words:

(Friend's Name Here).......I miss you; please come and answer this question for me. 

Now, ask your friend a question keeping the image of their face in your mind's eye.

This question can be creative or very simple; even something like, "How are you getting along?" 

Then, sip the last drop of tea and close the spell by washing the cup with hot, then cold water.

Blessed Be!

You should see your friend within one week.  Don't be surprised if they show up within the hour or call you within minutes!

TO STRENGTHEN BONDS OF LOVE

This spell allows for a stronger sense of unity between yourself and loved ones by repelling negative influences and increasing the understanding and compassion within friendships.

During a full moon prepare a cup of tea made with a small amount of mugwort and vervain leaf.

After drinking the tea meditate on the Goddess Cerridwen.  Be sure to heed any advice you receive during this meditation.

Set an acorn upon your altar (acorn is associated with Cerridwen).  Using Triple Goddess Oil bless one red, white and black candle with the following intentions:

• black ~ wisdom to reject negativity
• red ~ increase understanding/compassion
• white ~ purify all aspects of the friendship

While preparing to light the candles say:

On this hallowed moonlit eve,
I ask and pray that I receive,
to become closer to those best for me,
so that we may know true unity.
May our goodness shine through bad times (light black candle)
May our hearts be understanding and kind (light red candle)
May all dark intentions go undone (Light white candle)
(Hold left hand on heart and right hand above candles pouring out positive energy)
So that we may work and love as one.  For the greater good of all and harm to none.

After you've finished your spellwork keep your heart pure and think about your friendships in a positive manner.

Remember, magic doesn't start once the candles are lit and end once they sputter out.  Magic begins and ends with you; with your emotions, your thoughts and your desires.
